I became a Crone, after being queerly excluded from Maidenhood and refusing Motherhood. My body never grew a baby. Instead, it grew a cyst and a fibroid in the ratio of a hexagon’s width and length. Doctors cut me open, pathologized my creations, and sewed me back up again. These hexagons were crafted on that journey through mysterious pain, multitudinous clinics, and menopause. Stitching and weaving my hexagonal world builds a resilient structure to stay strong in the face of disabling uncertainty.
